EURASIA Collaborates with UBOJNIA RYTEL

On August 13, 2024, Eurasia engaged in a productive meeting with UBOJNIA RYTEL at their headquarters in Northeastern Poland. The meeting was hosted by Robert Rytel, Chairman of UBOJNIA RYTEL, and Miroslaw Mozdzen, CEO of the company.

During the discussions, Eurasia representatives provided insights into the Vietnamese market, highlighting the challenges faced by Polish frozen meat exporters. Despite these challenges, UBOJNIA RYTEL’s long-standing reputation and the quality of their pork products continue to be well-received by the Vietnamese market.

Robert Rytel, Chairman of UBOJNIA RYTEL, emphasized the potential of the Vietnamese market, recalling his visit to Vietnam two years ago. He confirmed that UBOJNIA RYTEL possesses all necessary legal and export certifications, making their products ready for international markets.

Eurasia, as a key partner for UBOJNIA RYTEL in Vietnam, leverages its local office and professional team to navigate the local market. Rytel expressed confidence in Eurasia’s strategic role in promoting UBOJNIA RYTEL’s products in Vietnam. He believes that with Eurasia’s expertise in media and marketing, the UBOJNIA RYTEL brand will gain greater recognition among Vietnamese consumers.

**UBOJNIA RYTEL: A 25-Year Legacy in Professional Meat Processing**

UBOJNIA RYTEL sources raw materials from farms with herds of over 600 pigs per cycle. The meat industry in Poland typically focuses on the price and cuts of pork. However, understanding breeding trends is essential to anticipating long-term changes, particularly in 2023 and 2024. These changes will likely see a shift toward larger slaughterhouses, as smaller facilities gradually close due to declining raw material supplies and increasing hygiene requirements.

Currently, UBOJNIA RYTEL is the largest producer of half-carcass pork in Poland. Located in Northeastern Poland, the company’s history can be divided into two phases: its formation and its modern era, marked by the construction of a state-of-the-art facility. Initially, Rytel produced 8 pigs per hour with a staff of about 15 people. Today, over 200 employees process approximately 300 pigs per hour at the plant.

In 2023, UBOJNIA RYTEL was awarded the „Teraz Polska” prize for its half-carcass pork. The company plans to expand its product line to include high-quality cooking cuts, aiming to offer consumers not just ribs but also premium chops under the Rytel brand.

**The Potential of Vietnam’s Frozen Pork Market**

Vietnam ranks among the top 10 pork-consuming countries globally. Currently, domestic production meets only 95% of demand. Pork consumption in Vietnam is expected to grow by 28.3%. In the first two months of 2024 alone, Vietnam imported 105.14 thousand tons of meat and meat products, valued at $213.15 million, a 44.1% increase in volume and a 38.8% increase in value compared to the same period last year. This highlights the significant potential for pork consumption in a country with nearly 100 million people.
